The City of Dubai went agog penultimate weekend when one of Lagos celebrated Big boys Chief Olanrewaju Rasak Akanni Muhammed,a clearing and forwarding guru and also the chairman of of R&A city hotels in Lagos,he also sits atop one of the most patronized Conoil filling station in Lagos.He is popularly known as Lamex. He hosted his second wife Motunde Muhammed to a lavish 50th Shindig in the Arabian City of Dubai.
The birthday Proper fell on the 22nd of July,but due to some personal arrangement the event was postpone a bit further. Motunde is a London based business woman who shuttles London and lagos respectively.
She is one of the respected wives of Lamex.The entire London social circuit were eager to know the details and be part of the exclusive shindig.Due to the cost of having a never to be forgotten event in Dubai ,the preparation began with the idea of making it a low key,inviting just few close friends and family members.The close friends of the celebrant flew in from their base in London while others came from Nigeria and U.S. Respectively.Fast forward to the Dday on the 12th Of August precisely.The celebrant and invited guest occupied some part of the Popular coveted Hotel and the Prestigious Al Jumeirah Hotel in Dubai.
The venue of the event proper is the banquet of the Al Jumeirah where guest were treated like kings to commemorate the 50th Birthday shindig.Prior to the event proper,the entire guest and celebrant had earlier gone for a two hours boat cruise sailing in a yacht between Palm Jumeirah and Dubai marina where the birthday fun had earlier began.,and because they couldn’t go with food or drinks on the cruise,they were treated to a massive buffet upon their return from the cruise.The All white Party got loads of fashionista dazzles in white ensembles.
City People gathered that the chairman of Lamex group ,who is the husband of the celebrant was unconspicously absent,However he left no stone unturned in celebrating his wife to high heavens,he also ensure he flew in delegates to impact the event maximally which includes his First wife,Alhaja Funmi Muhammed,the CEO of Funmex fabrics,and Alhaji Dauda Popoola (Popson), the younger brother of the celebrant,Mr Fatai Owofe ,close associates and wives of the Abegi igi anu squad were also powerfully present,Lamex entire kids were also present to mention but a few.
It was recalled that Lamex had his 50th Birthday two years ago ,also a faction of it was celebrated in Dubai before the last phase was held as his state of the Art R&A city hotel in ikeja lagos,For Motunde her version of her 50th birthday would also be close to that of her husband as we gathered her main event has been done in Dubai amidst pomp and pageantry ,according to the celebrant her last phase would be directed to charity,as the London based business woman would visit orphanages and the less privileges later in the year when she visit Nigeria with her husbands first wife.it was recalled that Motunde is Lamex second wife,and he has been able to do justice amongst his wives,hence the friendship and corporation that existed between them.It was gathered that they their rooms at the hotel in Dubai is just next door as they share so many things in common and the plans for the events was made successful by joint efforts of the wives and their husband.
