There’s an obvious link between being a successful businessperson and having an active, high sex drive. These are the sentiments of Maze Women’s Sexual Health Clinical Director Dr Bat Sheva Marcus. She zoomed in on the psychological and physiological reasoning, explaining why testosterone (in both men and women) connects people who are highly successful to high sex drives.
According to Marcus, “High levels of testosterone really do make people more aggressive, more confident, and [makes them] have higher sex drives.
“But for us to understand that testosterone is a driving force for strength, leadership, aggression, [as well as] sex drive, [we have to understand that] it’s very common that those two things live together. It’s not at all surprising to me that all the studies seem to suggest that people who are very successful in business also have very high sex drives.”
She also pointed out that those who we regard as successful, such as business owners, COOs, entrepreneurs, etc., are not only natural leaders. Charm also comes easier to them as they are experts in engaging with people from all walks of life. This ultimately means that where bedroom matters are concerned, they’ll take the lead and possibly win their sexual partner over with charm and engagement on any level.
Marcus also said that the relationship between success and sex motivates high profile individuals like former President Bill Clinton and Tiger Woods who had affairs.
A previous study conducted by the University of Guelph and Nipissing University stated that there is a clear link between being selfless and having success in long-term dating and sex. The study also found that men and women were more attracted to selfless people.
In his book, Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill says: “Sex desire is the most powerful of human desires. When driven by this desire, men develop keenness of imagination, courage, will-power, persistence, and creative ability unknown to them at other times.”
He also adds that sex peaks your creativity because the drive you get from having great sex can fuel innovation.
