Alaiyeluwa, Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona is the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland. That makes him the No 1 King in Ijebu.
But the Awujale alone does not run Ijebuland. He has 60 Kings who run Ijebuland. He has 60 kings who run Ijebuland with him. They are all members of the Ijebu Traditional Council of which the Awujale is the President.
The Obas are divided into Local Government Areas from Ijebu-Ode LG area to Ijebu East LG area, to Odogbolu LG area.
There are those in Ijebu North LG area, Ijebu North East LG area and Ogun Waterside LG area.
These Obas are made up of very educated people. Many of them are professionals in their own right. They are Engineers, Accountants, Bankers, former Civil Servants. Many of them are also very comfortable and rich.

In Ijebu East Local Government area, there are 12 of them. There is Oba A.A. Oguntayo, the Ajalorun of Ijebu-Ife. There is Oba S.A. Onafonokan, the Oloko of Ijemu Imushin, Oba Engr. Segun Adesina, the Olowu of Owu-Ijebu, Oba A.K. Alakija, the Akija of Ikija-Ijebu.

In Ijebu North East LG, there are 5 Obas. There is Oba Oluremi Owolabi Abayomi, the new Elese of Ilese, and the new Saderinren of Isonyin. There is the Oliworo of Iworo. Oba A. Onafuwa, Oba (Engr). J.B Otunkoya, the Oligun of Ilugun North and Oba S.A.O Sule, the Olu of Odosenlu Alaro.
