All is now set for another edition of Chess Heights Monthly. It will be taking place on Saturday, November 5 at the Sports Center of the University of Lagos by 9:30am. It is open to all members of the public at an entry fee of N1000.
The organizer of the tournament , Tolulope Ogunwobi who is a national chess team player, is aiming the event at chess players and fans who want to enjoy chess in secure surroundings and conducive ambiance .
Several Nigerian top players have already confirmed participation, including Rotimi Lapite, a final year, University of Lagos student who won a major national tournament in 2015.
Also participating is FM Femi Balogun who is among Nigeria’s top 10 players. Other major names confirmed are Eloka Egwuagu, Roland Dieyi, and Udeme Edet.
This edition of Chess Heights Monthly promises a spectacular experience for those who attend the event. Students of the University of Lagos are already excited and eager to see the tournament hold on the school grounds.
