
Nigeria’s Police has assured adequate security for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier match between the country’s senior national team and Egypt in Kaduna on Friday.
The Super Eagles will hosts Egypt at Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna in a crucial two legged clash as both sides bid for a place at Gabon 2017.
However, the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase who spoke at the ongoing Police Games in Abuja, appealed to fans to cooperate with the police and security agencies to ensure their safety.

He also cautioned the Super Eagles against conceding goals from the Pharaohs and believe the country has the capacity and quality to come out with victory.
“I already held interactive sessions with coach Samson Siasia, the NFF president Amaju Pinnick on issues related to the security at the match,” Araze told media.
“We assured fans that their security will be guaranteed at the match and appeal for their cooperation to ensure their safety.
“For the match, I believe if we can score, we are home and dry. We cannot be on the back foot at home as we must score goals because we have the ability and assets to do so,” he said.
Both side will Nigeria and the North African country, both bidding for slots to Gabon 2017, will slug it out at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna in a Group G qualifier.
Ahead of the match, the visitors top Group G with six points while Nigeria has four from same number of matches.
