A suicide bomber in Cameroon was shot by a poisoned arrow from local militiamen just before she could blow herself in the Northern Cameroonian town of Mora. Reuters report
The local militia, Cameroon’s version of the civilian JTF is one of many springing up all over Nigeria’s neighbouring country, fight against the marauding menace of Boko Haram, who now carry out attacks with as much fervour in Cameroon as they do in Nigeria.

The woman, a 40-year-old, crossed into the country from Nigeria, travelling with a fourteen-year-old girl. Despite repeated demands to stop, she refused, leading to her being shot with the poisoned arrow, which incidentally stopped her from detonating her vest.
The 14-year-old girl, however, did blow herself up.
The terrorist group has increasingly utilised captives, especially women, to aid their suicide bombing offensive. The government of Cameroon has responded to the threat by giving leeway to these so-called militia groups to aid towns in their defences.
