M.I’s Loopy music co-founder, Dapo Ajeniya announce Isolo-Okota Music Festival

nigerian-artists-collage-890x642Loopy music co-founder Dapo Ajeniya has announced the Isolo-Okota music festival.

According to Ajeniya, the concert, now in the second edition, will also give youths the opportunity to learn creative arts such as weaving, tailoring, hairdressing and writing poetry.

In an interview, Ajeniya also told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the “Isolo-Okota Music Festival’’ is a project geared toward boosting the economic and cultural potential of the Isolo-Okota community.

“We are happy to announce to the public that plans are underway to organise one-month music concert scheduled for Isolo-Okota community in Lagos.

“The music concert will involve upcoming musicians who have yet to get that recognition because of lack of opportunity to showcase their God-given talents.

“The one-month music festival will also afford young people the opportunity to learn basic skills like tie and dye, creative arts, hairdressing, weaving, tailoring and cultural.

“It can only be done if entrepreneurs set their objectives to promote their cultural potential, arts and artists to the global community through constant festivals and performances.

Ajeniya disclosed that all invited artists were Nigerians, adding that the Isolo Local Government Council would provide logistics and security during the period.

NAN reports that Green36 Concerts, owned by Ajeniya, is a firm that promotes musical concerts and creates tours for teeming unengaged and talented young people.

Ajeniya also co-founded Loopy Music with Jude Abaga, popularly known as M.I. which later merged with Chocolate City in April 2014 and became the biggest indigenous record label in Nigeria.
